Message from H.E Metropolitan Serapion:

Dear Rev Fathers
We are facing unprecedented situation in our pastoral service , we have deal with it in faith and wisdom asking our Lord to strengthen our faith and grant us wisdom to deal with challenging situation.
1- Our mission as church is very important in this time to support our congregations and provide them with intensive pastoral care to sustain and support them spiritual . Our mission is not less than the mission of hospitals and all other
vital services needed and never to closed in such time .
2- We adapt our pastoral care to this changeable situation as we follow updates and new restriction to combat the spread of the virus.
3-The new restriction is to limit the gatherings to 50 some say 65 . It is not magic number but by common sense small number to fulfill the requirement of ( social distancing the 6 feet distance ) .
4- It is better for our people who in need to come to the church and take holy communion to support them and sustain them in this difficult time. Therefore I ask our clergy to increase the number of Divine Liturgies in the whole week and to advise everyone of the your congregations to come to one liturgy per week and observe the 6 feet distance .
Because now many people work at home so they can adjust their time to come to weekdays liturgies .
In this way we follow the rules of social distancing and keep our churches open for liturgies which are the source of life and comfort in this difficult time.
If any church find it is difficult for people to attend weekdays liturgies because of work let me know .
5- We replace other services by developing tele service using advanced technology.
6- Our elderly people need extra pastoral service through home visits and giving holy communion at home
7- It is time for younger and healthy priests to carry the burden of the service as our blessed senior priests may face limitations in their services.

I pray that may Our Lord to keep our churches open to our congregations and never to be closed till His second coming .

أعزائي الآباء الكهنة فى الكنائس
نحن نواجه وضعا غير مسبوق في خدمتنا الرعوية ، لقد تعاملنا معه بإيمان وحكمة نطلب من ربنا أن يعزز إيماننا وأن يمنحنا الحكمة للتعامل مع الوضع الصعب.
1- مهمتنا ككنيسة مهمة جدا في هذا الوقت لدعم رعايانا وتزويدهم برعاية رعوية مكثفة لدعمهم ودعمهم الروحي. مهمتنا ليست أقل من مهمة المستشفيات وجميع غيرها
الخدمات الحيوية اللازمة ولا تغلق أبدا في مثل هذا الوقت.
2- نقوم بتكييف عنايتنا الرعوية مع هذا الوضع المتغير حيث نتابع التحديثات والقيود الجديدة لمكافحة انتشار الفيروس.
3-القيد الجديد هو قصر التجمعات على 50 يقول بعضهم 65. إنه ليس رقمًا سحريًا بل بالحكم السليم رقم صغير لتحقيق متطلبات (الإبعاد الاجتماعي مسافة 6 أقدام).
4- من الأفضل لشعبنا المحتاج أن يأتي إلى الكنيسة ويأخذ الشركة المقدسة لدعمهم وإعالتهم في هذا الوقت العصيب. لذلك ، أطلب من الاباء الكهنة لدينا زيادة عدد الليتورجيات الإلهية في الأسبوع بأكمله ، وأنصح الجميع من أتباعك بالقدوم ليتورجية واحدة في الأسبوع ومراقبة مسافة 6 أقدام.
لأن الكثير من الناس يعملون الآن في المنزل حتى يتمكنوا من ضبط وقتهم ليأخذوا أيام القداس أيام الأسبوع.
بهذه الطريقة نتبع قواعد الابتعاد الاجتماعي ونبقي كنائسنا مفتوحة أمام الليتورجيات التي هي مصدر الحياة والراحة في هذا الوقت العصيب.
إذا وجدت أي كنيسة أنه من الصعب على الناس حضور الليتورجيات أيام الأسبوع بسبب العمل فأخبروني بذلك.
5- نستبدل الخدمات الأخرى بتطوير الخدمة عن بعد باستخدام التكنولوجيا المتقدمة.
6- يحتاج كبار السن لدينا إلى خدمة رعوية إضافية من خلال الزيارات المنزلية وإعطاء الشركة المقدسة في المنزل
7- حان الوقت للكهنة الأصغر سنا لتحمل عبء الخدمة حيث قد يواجه كبار كهنةنا المباركة قيودًا في خدماتهم.
