As part of the preparation, the Holy Gospel readings for Saturday Vespers relates to forgiveness and faith, for matins relates to prayers, and divine liturgy relates to repentance.
His Grace continues to explain that the church encourages us to prepare ourselves for the Holy Great Fast since the theme is repentance. The church teaches us how to repent by forgiving, by having strong faith, and by praying.
