Martyrdom of Saint Moses the Strong

On this day, the Church commemorates the martyrdom of Saint Moses the Strong. Let us contemplate on the power of repentance, and what it did in his life. It transformed an infidel slave who was a murderer, adulterer, and robber into a great father, teacher, comforter, and priest who wrote rules for the monks, and is a saint whose name is mentioned on the altar in our prayers. Let us follow in his example of true repentance, and let us also pray for one another. May his prayers and blessings be with us all. Amen.
